"Shame on you Kim"
What kickstarted Homeless at the end

One day, I was talking with my friend and mentor, Barry Moline, about my experience in establishing The INN Between. I was telling him about how there are still only a few end-of-life programs for the homeless in the U.S., leaving thousands of people to suffer and die on the streets. He suddenly said, “Shame on you, Kim. You have all this experience and knowledge, and you’re not sharing it.”

Ever since I got involved in launching The INN Between in 2015, I have had a strong desire to help other communities develop similar programs. Barry’s words inspired me to create Homeless at the End as a platform to share not only my experience but that of other leaders, with the goals of raising awareness, providing clear guidance for starting new programs, and telling powerful stories that move hearts to action.

Named in honor of the PBS Utah documentary of the same name, Homeless at the End is developing a toolkit and can offer personalized support to anyone interested in ensuring that homeless people have access to comfort, dignity, and hospice care at the end of life.

We need your help to grow! Please follow us on social media and like and share our blog stories to spread the word. More stories and podcasts are in the works.

I love to connect with people. Don't hesitate to email me or schedule a virtual meeting. I am also available to give presentations.

I am grateful to Barry and all my friends and colleagues for your support and encouragement as we work toward a world where no one has to suffer and die on the streets.
